At WorldHarvest we're familiar with being a part of a community we don't always see. Our small office team in Monrovia works diligently to communicate with our Community Leaders around the world to sponsor children, provide disaster relief, and provide media services. To learn more take a look at our about page.
We also work hard with you, our extended WorldHarvest family of donors and supporters.
None of this could be possible without you, thank you.
At WorldHarvest we are doing our part to stay committed to the communities we serve around the world. We are thankful for our Community Leaders for their dedication to providing resources to our sponsored children.
March 16th we began our efforts in Aceh, Indonesia by visiting 16 families of sponsored children. While visiting the families we educated them on how to wash their hands properly and provided them with posters that explain correct hand washing techniques. We distributed 144 hand soaps providing each family with 8-10 soaps. Our door-to-door campaign is working towards visiting all sponsored students and educating them on the importance of adhering to
cleanliness techniques to help beat COVID-19.
March 23rd we extended our efforts to Tangerang/Jakarta, Indonesia. We distributed hand soaps to our 26 communities where children are sponsored (about 1100 sponsored children). We also educated the children and families about keeping their hands free of germs by hand-washing, the importance of keeping their house clean, and staying home if they are feeling sick to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
April 2nd we teamed up with Sophia Chan from VITAS Healthcare to distribute 700 gloves, masks and hand sanitizers to
5 local nursing homes. These nursing homes provide around the clock care to their residents despite the pandemic.

(whether it's physically or financially) thus far.
In a time where staying inside is the norm and social distancing is more of a standard than a request, now more than ever we're learning what it means to be a community. Being a part of a community is understanding that although we don't always see our neighbor the decisions we make can affect them.
