Who We Are
"Impacting The World Through Creative Community, Education, and Media Services"
Established in 1989, World Harvest is an international humanitarian
relief and development, faith-based non-profit organization.
World Harvest serves all people in need throughout the world,
regardless of their religion or ethnicity. World Harvest works
toward impacting the world through
Three Main Pillars: Community,
Education, and Media Services.
Community: We care for people
living in poverty and disaster affected
areas, provide healthcare services,
improve community sanitation,
provide and create economic
opportunities for underprivileged communities.
Education: We provide education sponsorship
for underprivileged children. We also build, equip and empower
community leaders to transform their communities through formal
education, leadership seminars, and
informal training opportunities.
Media: We communicate our message
and champion the Good-News through
music, television networks, radio, and
world-wide-web services.
What We Do
Harvest Community Development (HCD) is a humanitarian effort
that serves to develop poor communities in underprivileged
societies world-wide. Programs under HCD include:
- Sponsor-A-Child (SAC)
- SAC is the cornerstone of our
community development efforts.
SAC engages a community by
providing underprivileged children
with tuition and financial assistance
toward a quality education. The sponsored children are also
provided with nutritious lunch programs, healthcare delivery,
and voluntary access to the Good-News.
- Community Transformation Center (CTC)
- Through the CTC’s, we implement long term development
programs for entire communities, in order to raise their standards
of living from abject poverty. We sustain a long term presence in
these communities by employing long term Community
Development Agents (CDA’s),
- Harvest Humanitarian Services
- Through HHS, World Harvest provides emergency assistance of
food, medicine, and health care services in disaster stricken
areas. We also provide temporary shelter for refugees and
disaster victims. Over the years, our humanitarian services have
aided millions of people throughout the world.
Through Fokus Pada Keluarga (Focus on the Family,
Indonesia—FPK), a strategic alliance with Focus on the
Family, USA, World Harvest dedicates its efforts toward the
preservation of family. FPK has been serving families in
Indonesia since 1996 through: seminars, counseling services,
radio broadcasts, newsletters and print literature.
Impacting the world through creative educational services is one
of World Harvest’s main pillars. World Harvest believes that in
order to have a positive impact in communities and entire
nations, we need to train and equip strong leaders to serve as
facilitators of global change.

World Harvest is expanding its global outreach through Harvest
Media Communication (HMC). HMC recently launched the first
Christian television network in Indonesia, the U-Channel. The
U-Channel is a family lifestyle station launched through a
strategic alliance with UCB- International.
Through HM - Music with the Heart of Mission, World Harvest is
reaching and touching millions of lives world-wide through
positive, uplifting and encouraging contemporary and indigenous
ethnic worship music.
