Special Year-End Message from World Harvest

Dear Friend,

By God's grace, we have now come close to the end of year 2009. In this past year, you have played such an incredible role in helping World Harvest impact thousands of lives around the world.

Text Box: Weíve put together this special Newsletter to show you how your compassion has made a real difference to victims of disaster, underprivileged children and communities, leaders around nations.

We have put together this special Newsletter to show you how your compassion has made a real difference to victims of disaster, underprivileged children and communities, and leaders of nations.
With the help of partners like you, this past year World Harvest has:

  • Raised support and sponsoring at least 1,600 children in 50 slum communities in Indonesia.
  • Sent urgently needed food, water, family kits, medical care, and other tons of Relief Aidto the earthquake victims and communities in West Sumatra, Indonesia.
  • Built schools in rural communities in Kampung Melayu, and provided free medical services.
  • Built integrity and encouraged moral values in 15,000 young people in 12 provinces of Indonesia, through the Focus on the Family Indonesia's No Apologies seminars in schools (Abstaining from Sex before Marriage).
  • Raised and equipped new leaders through schools administered by World Harvest or leadership seminars throughout the world.

All of this would not have been possible without your support and generosity. Therefore, on behalf of all those who have been touched by your generosity, I thank you. We hope that you will continue your support as we make real differences in the lives of the impoverished. There is still so much more for us to do. In fact, currently in West Sumatra, we are helping the earthquake victims towards the long-term recovery stage; helping them to rebuild their lives, houses, schools, hospital, etc. We are planning to build a CTC (Community Transformational Center), as we did in Aceh, where we are still empowering the tsunami hit communities with various programs such as job training, micro-enterprise, education, medical services, and much more.

For this year's end, we would like to invite you to continue to bless those who need it most. Make a tax-deductible YEAR-END Gift of $10, $25, or even $100 today. You may also Sponsor-a-Child, or Purchase a gift for a child to bring joy to them this Christmas!  We will send you a special 2010 calendar filled with full-color photos highlighting our work around the world with inspirational quotes as our appreciation-and-thank-you gift!

Again, thank you for your faithful partnership and support! Together, we can continue to serve those in needs and demonstrate God's love around the world in the year ahead.

May God Bless You,

Daniel Hanafi
Vice Chairman & Co-Founder, World Harvest

P.S. You can bless those in need—and save on your taxes. If you make a gift before December 31, it will reduce your taxable income for 2009. Click here to give now!
